The Popcorn Run - Canada's Poppen Fun Run!
Fun for everyone! Get a group together and join the fun!

Family Fun
Everyone's welcome at The Popcorn run - there is no minimum or maximum age limit.
Wheelchairs and strollers are permitted on the course.
Kid 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult! Popcorn, Lemonade, and finisher medals can be purchased on-site for cheering squads. Online registration must be filled out for all participants. See FAQ for more info.

Walk, run or dance!
Take on the run your way, you choose. This event is not a timed run. So if you wish to walk or run it is up to you.
Most of our courses will have two water brakes.

Reword your hard work!
Complete the course and reward yourself to a bag of tasty kettle corn and a refreshing glass of lemonade. Kick back listen to music and enjoy the atmosphere you've earned it.

Do it for Charity!
Every Popcorn Run is organized in partnership with a local charity.
Have fun and make every step count by raising needed funds!
Fort Saskatchewan Event Guide
Race Kit Pick Up
Pick up your packet on the event day at the event sign-in tent.
Event Location and start times.
The event will be held on Saturday, Sept 17th, 2022 starting at 9am with the little kernels. The 5k and 10k will start shortly after.
Location: parking will be at the West Rivers Edge Pavilion, Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The run will be on the pathways along the North Saskatchewan River Valley.

Charity
Southpointe School Fundraiser
Southpointe School is a one of Fort Saskatchewan's newer public schools from Kindergarten to Grade 9. This school is a huge part of our community and is growing faster than resources allow. Please donate to help the students at Southpointe School have what they need for educational material, and recreational resources.

Parking And Directions
Parking is free in and around the park but it is limited and is first come first serve.
Running With Children
Participants who are 13 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult (18+). Wheelchairs, strollers and pushchairs are permitted on course however, please note, the terrain on the course may vary (hills, roads, pathways, grass, unpaved trails). Each city will have a unique course.
Safety First
Your health and safety is top of mind as we plan to welcome you to the event! We continue to follow Alberta Health Services for updates and guidelines to help us prepare.
Please read through the following important precautions and measures we are taking to ensure safety for everyone:

If you are sick, please stay home. We are a public event and we do not want to spread germs to anyone!

Participants are expected to use proper personal protective practices (coughing and sneezing etiquette, hand hygiene, etc.).

Spitting will not be allowed. Consider carrying tissues for spit and mucus and dispose of them promptly after the race.

Faster runners: Please keep to the left and allow two meters of space when passing other runners or trail users.

Slower runners and participants with strollers, etc.: Please keep to the right.
We strongly encourage you to:

Wash your hands frequently, bring hand sanitizer, bring your own water bottle, and maintain two meters of physical distance from others at all times.

Bring a non-medical mask for use in public washrooms and while you are not running or walking.

Use the restrooms at your home prior to arriving onsite. Public restrooms will be available if needed.

Arrive on-time (not earlier than necessary), and refrain from gathering with others after you’ve completed the run/walk.
